Mara Glubka, born and raised in Winona, MN, details her experiences as a transgender female in this oral history. She discusses having to hide her identity as a child, being forced to go to counseling with the Cathrolic Charities at age 15; her experiences in being a parent to three sons and hand having supportive relationships with them; hardships from being fired after coming out at work; and transitioning. Glubka discusses the experience of living authentically and finding happiness.
