In an interview with Sebástian Castro Niculescu, activist Vivian Lopez Ponce details her struggles with her gender identity throughout her life, including a lack of familial acceptance and family deaths, discrimination, and excessive drug use. Ponce discusses her working and performance experiences; of particular note is her position as a spokesperson for HIV/AIDS after her diagnosis and her activist and advocacy work in civil rights and beyond.
