Digital Transgender Archive
Dr. Jamison Green is a policy consultant, educator, author and public speaker, who has been out as transgender and an activist for 50 years. In this oral history, he discusses his early experiences with his identity in childhood; the challenges of bullying in high school; the frustrations of language surrounding identity prior to more awareness about trans people; being a transgender parent; and his experiences with activism, advocacy, and as president of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). He also details his hopes for the transgender community in the future.
