Digital Transgender Archive
Alex Iantaffi is a non-binary gender-queer trans-masculine person. In this oral history, he shares his experiences growing up in Rome in a working-class family; his identifications with and through lesbian, bisexual and trans communities in his twenties, and how surgery made his trans identity really “click” for his family in his mid-thirties. Iantaffi worked at the Program in Human Sexuality as a therapist, but now he operates a private practice and conducts research in deaf education, disability and gender.
